Lucinda Gleeson


Venue Manager

Lucinda has worked for the Rock Surfers first as a boxie, then as Box Office Manager and now as Venue Manager. She is also an actor and a director.

At the beginning of 2008 Lucinda directed a 10 minute version of Benito di Fonzo’s The Chronic Ills Of Robert Zimmerman, AKA A Lie- a theatrical talking blues. An extended version of this piece was developed in the Tamarama Rock Surfers (TRS) Early Sessions programme and appeared as a Late Session in May of 2009. This work has received further development funding, and will appear at the 2010 Adelaide Fringe.

Lucinda was most recently engaged as the Assistant Director on Leland Kean’s directorial return to the TRS stage in his production of john AD Fraser’s Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Lucinda began performing in Canberra with Splinters – Theatre of Spectacle, Jellymeat Theatre, and Shoot Like A Girl, before moving to Sydney to study at the Ensemble Studios under the direction of Hayes Gordon.

She has also toured in productions to the International Schools Theatre Association, Austria, the Yakumo International Theatre Festival, Japan, and the Adelaide Fringe.

Lucinda has appeared in various short films, and her television credits include Home and Away, All Saints, and Love My Way. She has been a member of Sydney Playback Theatre since 1998, and is a qualified welder.
