PUB PLAYS

Throughout the year TRS will be popping up all over the city with Pub Plays in various pubs, bars and public houses. Pub Plays is a series of Sunday afternoon script-in-hand readings, where we will be dusting off a hand picked batch of Australia’s most important and iconic plays, some of which haven’t seen the light of day for thirty years or more.

With fresh eyes and cold beers, we’ll be looking back at our Australian Theatre history. By digging up the theatrical roots and seeing what connections we find, what hidden gems lay lurking. Pub Plays invites some of Sydney’s most exciting directors, writers and performers, and you, to read and discuss these classics over an ale or two.
