THE PACKER is an exhilarating roller coaster ride through a charged urban Pacific diversity that is contemporary Auckland. Told through the eyes of Shane, a factory packer still living with his gin-addled old lady, rooting the ex-girlfriend, getting up to mischief with his wigger best mate, dreaming up hip hop fame, Shane has nothing to lose and everything to gain. The arrival of a new neighbour throws Shane off his usual game. He is smitten! He’s not the only one! Over the course of one night Shane will discover the emotional ties that bind him to his world can also destroy him.
