Other People's Problems (13, 14, 20, 22 May at 9.30pm)
by Sarah Quinn, Samuel Booth and DeAnne Smith
Following successful seasons in Adelaide and Melbourne, Montreal-based Aussie actor and producer Sarah Quinn brings her highly popular solo show, “Other People’s Problems”, to the Old Fitz for Late Sessions in May.
A darkly comedic response to the ever-expanding self-improvement industry, Other People’s Problems consists of three short plays, by three different authors, all concerned with one singularly modern phenomenon: “Issues”. Advice is a hot commodity, and these characters know it. Their questionable philosophies will leave you questioning yours.
“Your Life Starts Tomorrow”, written by award-winning Canadian comic DeAnne Smith
“Good Authority” written by Sarah Quinn
“Self Help” written by Samuel Booth
“Beautifully written, balancing some darker lessons with a healthy dose of humour...Sarah Quinn is magnificent"
