In her new original show - Emma Dean and The Imaginary Friends, Emma is joined by her three Imaginary Friends – Gwenda, Henry and GG – as they explore Emma’s collection of original songs – both old and new. Each friend represents a different facet of Emma's imagination, weaving their magical spell throughout the performance as they pull Emma further and further in to the
imaginarium.

"The mixture of a well-written storyline and amazing vocal and musical talent ensured the audience was captivated throughout the entire performance. Emma Dean's unique cabaret style is especially unique and a pleasure to watch.” Emma Dean (...Meets Dr Dream) Show Review – ninemsn.com.au, (2010)

Emma has previously gained critical acclaim for her Weimer Republic cabaret-influenced portrayal of Ariel in the sold-out season of Zen Zen Zo’s adaptation of The Tempest. Emma gained similar acclaim playing the challenging role of Medea in Stella Elektrica’s The New Dead: Medea Material at NIDA.

Emma Dean releases her new singles Stuck in the Mud and Sincerely Fearful in July and August as free downloads from her website www.emmadean.com.

“In the last year, my music and live performance has changed direction. Releasing my new singles for free is a way of giving my audiences the chance to taste-test the new material…” says Emma.

"... Curious, funny, astute and above all, weird. She could well stake a good claim to be the new Millennium's Kate Bush with her theatrical approach to music...."
