Beyond Puberty Blues fundraiser

TRS Board Member and star of the original Puberty Blues, Nell Schofield has come together with her former co-star’s son Miles Capelja, for a Jad Capelja tribute night to celebrate Jad’s life and raise funds for beyondblue.

Schofield, who was in contact with Capelja through some extremely distressing periods, remains close to Capelja’s 23-year-old son, Miles. ”There is so much hype about the film and about the TV series, it was like, can we do something good out of all of this? Can we actually benefit some other people out of this?” Schofield says. ” The benefit will include a screening of Bruce Beresford’s Puberty Blues and an appearance from reggae band King Tide, which is headed up by Tony Hughes, who played Danny in the movie.
